Indoor pool required a special touch
The room for this indoor pool had many challenges. The elevation changes in the room required steps be designed into the space. Nearly two sides of the room are filled with doors onto the terrace. Doors to the house, a steam room and a storage space also had to be allowed for in the design. Natural stone was used throughout the room. All boulders had to be brought onto the site and set up before this part of the house was framed.
Because the owner did not want to maintain plants (and there was not enough light in the space for them) all of the plants are artificial. The trees were also used for lighting the room, with lights installed in and below them.
